Couscous on the Trail

Almond Raisin Couscous

Here’s the recipe for our day 4 dinner meal on the West Coast Trail. Couscous. So incredibly easy and quick to cook!

Makes 1  serving.
Preparation Time: 5 minutes.
Cook Time: 5 minutes.
Equipment: measuring cup, measuring spoon, Ziploc bag, fuel, camping stove, pot, spork


  • 3/4 cup couscous
  • 1/4 cup dried raisins or apricot
  • 1/2 cup almonds
  • 1 tsp cinnamon


  1. Bring 1 cup water to a boil.
  2. Pour all ingredients into boiling water and turn heat off.
  3. Cover for 5 minutes, mix well and enjoy the meal around the campfire with your travel buddies.
